Stabilizer fairings

 These fairings are another very hard to make part. The old fairings needed a bunch of welding and are very thin and hard to weld. One of the fairings was good enough to make a mold from and the stabilizer is symmetrical so I will make them from fibreglass and glass the two halves together

Wow, that does look like a craftsman type job. Glad the ones on the 108 are straight sheet. Nice job though

 Pretty much the whole plane was built by hand, amazing work. I don't know how you would make that fairing with AL. It was not welded together.

  I think that if you want to own this kind of plane you have to make some stuff any way can, cuz the real craftsmen that can make some of these parts are rare.

I bet the factory didn't take days to make a pair of fairings. These even have bumps and wavey spots etc, that make them look real and 80 years old.

I forgot to add that the second fairing took 30 min.
