Franklin 165 overhaul

Hello, Its time for me to get my 165 Franklin overhauled.
I know there aren't many shops that do this and that it's very important to send it to the right place. I have read some horror stories.
Could anyone help me with information on the place that has the best reputation, and a reasonable turn around time?
Thanks so much,
Doug

Yeah, as long as it isn’t years!
thanks for the lead I will give him a call today!
I tried looking them up, the only one I could find says it was started in 1997, do you have a contact number it’s not listed on the overhaul list on this website.

I just went thru the pain. Check with Susan at Franklin Engine Parts. She is really dialed on on what is going one out there. About all inspections are STILL totally backlogged on case, crank and cams, while about all engines fail something. Steel sleeves are an issue getting on hand and shipping cost are really high. I'd try a more local shop to drive your old engine out and pickup. That alone will save you a pile of thousands.
Not to paint Franks in a bad light, Lycoming is about as bad and I read there were no 0-360 built up cylinders in the country ready to go, none. Continental is about same, quoting out 9 mo for work, with shortages in cranks. So there you go.
