Hello,

I need to replace the tape that goes between the straps and the tank, listed in drawing by the name in the topic title.

Any ideas on what could be used as a replacement are appreciated.

Alonso

Not sure if this is answering your question, but I used neoprene/cork (Corprene?) gasket material cut into strips for the fuel tank bays. It looks like cork bits mixed with rubber bits. 1/16" thick as I recall. I glued it on with Pliobond, which I think is called out in the print?

Hi Resto108,

Thanks for the info, I did not know Corprene would refer to the material. What you mention make sense.

Now I have to find a source here in Chile...

you can order it by the roll and the correct width and different thicknesses for the straps from Mcmaster-Carr at a very reasonable price.
