Has anyone used any type of noise insulating material? I’m thinking about using some inside the Boot Cowling, and cabin. There are lightweight materials available on Amazon, but I would have to determine if they meet flame resistance requirements.
Ideas?

I'm also on the lookout for some of this. Do we have to stick with PMA materials? There's lots of choices on the usual suspects but they are $$$.
This stuff is the gold standard for marine use: https://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/show_product.do?pid=9345# It's fire resistant but I don't know if it's aviation spec. $69 for 1/2" x 32" x 54"

I think as long as the material meets the “burn test” you are good. Interior work is one of the things an owner can do.
