Hello All,

I am an owner of a Stinson 108-3.  It is a good airplane but it is also small inside.  If I am going to be travelling slow across the country, I would like to be a little more comfortable.  So, I am interested in what the useful load, climb rate, and cruise speeds are on an SR-8 through SR-10 Reliants.  Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.

Most of the later SR series reliants have a useful load anywhere from 1000 to 1300 lbs depending on equipment.  Climb rates will vary of course depending on temps and elevation but a normal climb rate of 700-1000 fpm would "normal".  Cruise speeds anywhere from 115 - 125kts for a 300hp engine.  The ones with the 450hp would see a little better speed overall.

Randy,

Just to make sure I have this correct, the Cruise speed of the latter SRs is 115-125 knots. Not MPH but Knots. I am assuming the V-77s are pretty much the same. Please correct me if I have any of this wrong.

One other question would be regarding the V-77 Reliant. Would their performance be significantly different from the SRs?
