Continental O-470 J
Elmore City, Oklahoma 1OK1
This plane is in the process of a total rebuild/ not as produced restoration. It has all new Polyfiber fabric, new Cleveland wheels and brakes along with a Scott 3200 tailwheel. Paint is Insignia Blue and will have Cream stripes and lettering. All of the Station Wagon wood has been cleaned and varnished. It also has a new Airtec interior in dark blue cloth. All mechanical gauges that remain in the panel were sent to be repaired and refaced. There have been several electronic gauges added such as tach, oil pressure, carb temp, clock and an amp/ volt meter. Avionics consist of 2 VAL com radios connected thru an audio panel and a 4 place stereo intercom and a Stratus transponder with ADS-B in and out built in. The engine is a Continental O-470J with a McCauley C66 Prop. Engine is mounted and has been test run. All wiring was replaced with all new parts including a Plane Power 70 amp alternator system. And the work continues. Hope to mount wings shortly after 2021 arrives and plans are to be flying the plane by March 2021. Wish me luck with this project.
